FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is texturing, and how does it differ from pattern rolling?
In design rolling, the rolled pattern is transferred to one side of the sheet—ideal for applications where a high-quality appearance and scratch resistance are paramount. Pattern rolling refers to rolling on both sides, additionally providing visual flatness, greater rigidity and light reflections. We offer both options.
In which industries are patterned stainless steel sheets used?
Patterned sheets are used in elevator cabins and doors, in interior and exterior architecture, in shopfitting and exhibition stand construction, and in façade design—wherever surfaces need to be both robust and visually compelling.
What dimensions are available for patterned stainless steel sheets?
We supply standard sizes such as 1,000 x 2,000 mm, 2,500 x 1,250 mm and 3,000 x 1,500 mm in thicknesses from 0.6 to 2.0 mm – as sheets or coils. Cut-to-length sheets from 1,000 to 6,000 mm and custom widths from 500 to 1,500 mm are available. Special versions are manufactured on request.
What are the advantages of patterned sheet metal?
The rolled texture makes the surface scratch-resistant and less susceptible to soiling than smooth sheet metal. It also offers the inherent benefits of stainless steel: corrosion resistance, durability and easy cleaning – without additional sealing or coating.
Can mirrorINOX additionally coat or finish patterned sheets?
Yes. Patterned finishes can be combined directly with nanoINOX® nano-coating, PVD/TiN colour coating or other processes. Everything is produced at our Cleebronn facility – with no intermediaries and no loss of quality through additional handling.
